Ceramiche Moma to install new plant

Ceramiche MOMA: new double firing plantCeramiche Moma has been producing wall tiles for the Italian market for years and has now commissioned SACMI to supply, ahead of schedule, an important new production line for double fire wall tiles.
The line, to be installed at the Finale Emilia plant (Modena), is expected to be operational by the end of the year, boosting company output by more than 10,000 m2/day (20 x 20 and 25 x 25 cm tiles). Tiles will be moulded in the latest PH 3020 press, featuring a clearance of 2250 mm. To ensure that products are only of the very best quality, this press houses an innovative die jointly developed by Sacmi Molds & Dies and Ceramiche Moma.
The "biscuit" will be fired in a single-layer FMS 2670 kiln, over 100 m long. After glazing the product will be fed into another kiln of similar geometry to produce the final glazed item. Subsequently, the tile will be conveyed to the MASTER sorting and palletizing system, produced by Sacmi Automation.
