Cersaie 2021, 95% of floor space already booked
Agreement with ITA to support the fair’s promotional activities with 1.2 million euros of funding
Cersaie 2021, the pre-eminent international ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings exhibition which will be back as the sector’s first in-person show following the reopening in Bologna from 27 September to 1 October, has been granted 1.2 million euros in financing by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Trade Agency ITA for initiatives aimed at attracting the greatest possible number of foreign visitors. The largest portion of the funds will be devoted to organising contingents of visitors from Germany, France, the UK, North America and the Gulf countries, including a group of 170 architects, distributors and journalists. For the first time ever, this will include leading players in the Contract and Real Estate sector, an important segment of the construction industry which from this year onwards will have its own physical space in the Contract Hall.
In the meantime, Cersaie has already allocated 95% of available exhibition space while maintaining a large (40%) share of foreign exhibitors, a figure that confirms the exceptional international scope of the event.
“The agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ITA is part of a longstanding and fruitful partnership on initiatives organised in Italy and abroad,” says Confindustria Ceramica’s vice chairman Emilio Mussini. “The fact that we are able to organise Cersaie as an in-person event once again and offer customers a first-hand view of Italian innovations is crucial for the international competitiveness of our companies. It is equally important for the recovery of numerous Italian companies which provide the services, accommodation and hospitality that make the show possible.”
