Chumillas Technology contributes to Cosentino’s new production line
The Spanish company has supplied the spray-dried powder storage, transport, dosing and mixing plant for the third Dekton ultra-compact surface production line.
Chumillas Technology (Vilareal, Spain) has participated in the capacity expansion project for Dekton ultra-compact surfaces carried out by the Cosentino group in Cantoria (Almería).
Exploiting its state-of-the-art technology and process engineering specialisation, the Chumillas Technology technical team designed and started up the new spray dried raw material storage, transport, dosing and mixing plant for the third Dekton line. The plant is also equipped with a production line dust collection system, which will have the dual purpose of complying with all exposure limits and avoiding contamination of spray-dried raw materials.
The new plant prioritises accessibility and is designed to have the flexibility needed to produce multiple product versions. It will be used exclusively for the range of sophisticated spray-dried products required for Cosentino’s unique Sintered Particle Technology (TSP).
All processes have a high level of automation and meet the highest quality standards in keeping with Industry 4.0 principles.
