Cielle brings high definition to the ceramic world
Cielle, an Italian company based in Pero, near Breda di Piave in the province of Treviso that can boast more than 30 years of experience in the production of pantographs and laser engraving machines, set up a gallery at the last Tecnargilla showcasing its futuristic master moulds built for tile producers.
The company has developed a CO2 laser system (patent pending) that provides an innovative procedure for processing resin. The design that is to be reproduced on the master mould is scanned by the machine then processed using three-dimensional graphic modelling software and engraved on the material.
The precision of the laser technology and the specially developed software applications guarantee extremely faithful reproduction of every detail thanks to the CO2 source with a power of 200-300 W, wavelength of 10,600 nm and frequency of 1-100 kHz. The option of fixing the resin slab to a suction table makes it possible to process large formats with the utmost stability. Further advantages include the light weight and low cost of the resin substrates, which makes for greater ease of storage of the master moulds and optimises management costs. Last but not least, the technology developed by Cielle increases productivity by cutting operating times and allowing for rapid order processing.
Whereas master mould production previously involved vulcanising and then laser engraving the rubber, the use of resin now allows the vulcanisation stage to be skipped.
