Colorobbia doubles its facilities in China
As well as renewing its efforts in the Italian market, the multinational has been working hard abroad.
On 25 April this year, the Colorobbia Group opened the new Industrie Bitossi Guangzhou factory in Guangzhou, China.
The previous Colorobbia Glaze facility has been operating for years in Kunshan (Shanghai), where it produces a wide range of glazes in compounds, frits, glassy grits and pigments.
As a result of the continuous technological and graphic research carried out in conjunction with the Italian parent company, it offers the local industry rapid support in terms of product innovation and after-sales service.
The new production investment in the south of the country follows the same philosophy. Building on more than twenty years’ experience in the Chinese market with its “Red B” opacifier, Industrie Bitossi is now consolidating its presence through the local production of “Zircobit MO” micronised zirconium. The new plant, equipped with technologies that assure a top-of-the-range quality standard, will be able to produce 20,000 ton/year of opacifier and 10,000 ton/year of zircon flour.
The new facility in Guangzhou will improve distribution logistics for ground media produced by Industrie Bitossi while consolidating Colorobbia Kunshan’s presence in the Guangdong region.
