The conferences at Tecnargilla 2012

Tecnargilla 2012, the world's foremost exhibition of supplies to the ceramic and brick industries, has a packed programme of conferences that offer outstanding opportunities for analysis and debate.

The afternoon of Monday 24 September, the first day of the show, will be devoted to "Strategic raw materials for the ceramic industry". Organised by the Italian Ceramic Society and sponsored by Acimac and Assomineraria, the event will explore regulatory, financial and sourcing aspects of raw materials.

On Tuesday 25 September at 10.00 a.m., a conference sponsored by Acimac and Andil entitled "The world heavy clay industry: market scenarios and prospects" will discuss the current and future state of the sector. Based on reports given by analysts and representatives of the institutions and the world of industry, the event will explore scenarios and trends in the building world.

A conference organised by Acimac and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia to be held on Wednesday 26 September at 2.30 p.m. will discuss the theme of summer energy efficiency of walls and roofs.

On Thursday 27 September, the day's events will begin at 10.00 a.m. with the first Italian conference discussing Brazil's new NR-12 machinery safety legislation. Obligations and precautions for exporters will be outlined by representatives from the Brazilian ministry of labour, which produced the legislation, and by Bruno Maiocchi, coordinator of the technical group from Federmacchine, the association that organised the event together with Acimac.

The traditional Ceramic Technology Transfer Day, to be held during the afternoon, will include a presentation of the best offers of technology published on the website www.ceramicttd.it and a discussion of the regional and European research programmes set up to support innovation and sustainable building.
