Cosmec: new automation projects for Wienerberger in UK and Belgium

The Verona-based company, a reference point for the heavy clay sector, was contacted by the Austrian giant for the installation of automatic systems in two of its production plants.

Cosmec has successfully completed two important projects for Austrian construction materials giant Wienerberger, demonstrating its capabilities in the field of automation systems.

For its UK facility, the company ordered a new automatic system which could be integrated into its existing plant in order to handle both standard products and its recently launched innovative brick range.

And for its Belgian facility, Wienerberger commissioned Cosmec to supply a new line that would be capable of unloading fired products from kiln cars and loading them directly onto pallets ready for shipment. During unloading, the system is also able to compact the bricks on all four sides of the pack to eliminate empty spaces, improve stability and meet strict transport safety regulations.
