Craven Fawcett becomes Teide distributor and extends its services to the ceramics industry

The partnership between the two companies will offer customers a complete kiln car design and build service.

Craven Fawcett, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of clay preparation machinery and a division of Group Rhodes, has become the UK distributor for Teide Refractory Solutions of Spain, a leading supplier of refractory materials to the global ceramics industry.

Through a policy of continuous innovation, Teide has developed a comprehensive portfolio of internationally certified refractory solutions over its 60-year history.

The company has been involved with over 350 factory installations worldwide and offers a full range of geometry optimisation services to ensure each customer benefits from the most appropriate refractory formulation for a given project.

Teide brand products will be distributed through Craven Fawcett’s own in-house team of highly trained and experienced engineers based at the company’s production facility in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Teide’s refractory knowledge combined with Craven Fawcett’s kiln car fabrication capability now allows the UK business to provide a complete kiln car design and build service.

Teide has two production plants in Spain, producing over 30,000 tons of high-quality refractory materials per annum. It also offers a well-equipped laboratory capable of designing refractory products to match specific clay properties, optimising chemical resistance, durability, energy efficiency and economy. Both companies have ISO 9001:2015 and European safety (CE) accreditations.
