Daniele Bandiera re-elected chairman of Ceramicolor

16/05/07 - The members' meeting of Ceramicolor (Italian association of manufacturers of colours, glazes and metal oxides for the ceramic industry) recently re-elected its officers.
Daniele Bandiera (general manager of the Tile division and managing director of Ferro Spain - Italy Branch) was re-elected chairman of the association for the two-year period 2007-2008.
Angelo Lami (INCO Industria Colori) and Rodolfo Pini (Colorveggia) were elected vice chairmen.

Along with the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Past President Roberto Passarotto (Penox Italia), the Association's Board now consists of Marco Bitossi (Colorobbia Italia), Lucio Capiluppi (Sicer), Carlos Ferrer (Esmalglass), Tarcisio Lamecchi (Coloritalia), Walter Musso (Tioxide Europe), Carlo Alberto Ovi (Smalticeram Unicer), Gino Romani (Endeka Ceramics) and Graziano Vignali (Metco).

One of the key challenges now facing the association's leadership are the standards established by the EU's new chemical legislation Reach.
Given the increasingly international nature of the industry, Ceramicolor will operate in cooperation with the other ceramic associations, especially with its Spanish counterpart Anffecc.

The chairman's programmes also include continuous efforts to broaden the membership base and to raise the profile and enhance the key role played by the colour and glaze manufacturers within the ceramic industry.

Ceramicolor represents 20 companies with a turnover in excess of 500 million euro operating in the sectors of frits and glazes, colours and auxiliaries for ceramic and metals, inorganic pigments and metal oxides.
