Durst celebrates 75 years

This year Durst is celebrating its 75th anniversary in the world of high-quality imaging.

Founded in 1936, the company based in northern Italy’s Trentino-Alto Adige region has long been investing in research and innovation with a view to developing efficient hi-tech systems. It now operates as a key partner for the printing sector at a world level.

Durst was one of the first companies to develop large-format inkjet printing machines with UV inks, initially for the graphic arts market and more recently for sectors such as ceramics, wood and glass. The company recently opened its Research Centre in Lienz, a latest-generation building equipped with technical and scientific laboratories where research staff working in cooperation with research bodies and university institutes explore the development potential of digital inkjet technology in new product sectors.

Durst has always devoted a lot of attention to the search for green solutions and has developed systems with the lowest possible environmental impact by reducing warehouse stock, waste and rejects. It also evaluates suitability parameters and monitors inks, which are now inodorous and less harmful.
