EFI Cretaprint 5th generation digital printers showcased in India
More than 600 Indian professionals attended the EFI roadshow in December.
Launching the new 5th generation EFI™ Cretaprint® digital printers onto the Indian market, last December EFI and local distributor Xphere India Group organised a special roadshow that was attended by around 600 professionals from more than 400 Indian tile producing companies.
Attendees were welcomed by José Luis Ramón Moreno, vice chairman and general manager of EFI Industrial Printing, and Vishal Trivedi, managing director of Xphere India Group. Special guests included some of the company’s key partners in India, namely: Kajaria Ceramics, the first Indian company to adopt the new printer; Sanford, the first company to install the Cretaprint M5 in the Morbi area; Qutone Granito, the first slab producer in India to adopt the Cretaprint P4; and Asian Granito Group and Varmora Group, both of which use Cretaprint printers in their factories (Asian Granito seven and Varmora six units).
Amongst the highlights of the roadshow were the educational sessions introducing key aspects of the 5th generation printers. These focused in particular on the EFI e·D5 printhead, a perfect solution for the Indian market, along with the range of inks and the EFI Fiery® proServer colour management system which round off the EFI portfolio of technologies developed for the tile industry. The event also included live printhead demonstrations, panel discussions, testimonials and technical presentations on trends in ceramic applications and the challenges of the Industry 4.0 production processes.
