Ege Seramik increases production of porcelain tiles and monoporosa tiles

21/01/04 - Ege Seramik, a Turkish group which manufactures ceramic floor and wall tiles and sanitaryware, is commencing installation of two new tile production lines built by the Sacmi Group, due to become fully operational by June 2004.
One of the lines is for the production of 10x10 cm tiles and trim pieces (listels and skirting) with a production capacity of 2,000 square metres a day, while the other is for 33x33 cm porcelain tiles and will be capable of producing up to 7,000 square metres a day.

The Group is also planning to extensively refurbish its monoporosa tile production plant by installing six new Sacmi PH1500/PH2090 presses, to be delivered during the first few months of 2004. With the new plant supplied by Sacmi, the Ege Seramik Group’s total production capacity will reach 25 million square metres of tiles a year.
Ege Seramik was founded in 1972 and is now one of the largest producers in Turkey.
