Extraordinary growth for Granitifiandre

14/09/07 - Turnover was above expectations for the Granitifiandre group, one of the worldwide leaders in the production and distribution of porcelain tiles, with headquarters in Castellarano (Reggio Emilia).

The figures from the first half have shown a substantial rise both in terms of volume and earnings above expectations.

The turnover of the group on June 30 2007 was 120.8 million Euro (+20.9%) compared to the first half of 2006.
Sales on the Italian market where in line with the previous year while of absolute importance was the rise in turnover in other European countries (+22.5% equalling 7.9 million euro) and more importantly in the rest of the world, where growth reached +60.6% equalling 13.3 million euro.
Also significant was the performance in the United States (+89.3%), in Canada (+1.6%) and in particular in China where sales have seen a rise of over 1 million Euro.

This great performance is the result of an internationalisation process brought ahead by Granitfiandre in Germany (Porcelaingres) and USA (Stonepeak), both now completely in operation.

Ebitda shows positive signs and has consolidated 22.5 million Euro, (+78.4% compared to the first half of 2006).
Remarkable growth has also been recorded for Ebit, +159.5%, rising from 5.7 million Euro registered at the end of June 2006 to 14.7 million in the first six months of this year.
