Fernando Fabra elected new chairman of ANFFECC

The owner of Esmaltes was elected to lead the association of Spanish frit and glaze producers during its general meeting held on 15 July.

The general meeting of ANFFECC, the association of Spanish ceramic frit and glaze manufacturers, elected its new chairman on 15 July. Fernando Fabra Florit, owner of the frit and glaze producer Esmaltes, takes over from Joaquín Font de Mora and will lead the association for the next four years.

After graduating in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and earning an Executive MBA, Fabra has gone on to acquire more than 20 years’ experience in the ceramics industry, including 13 years at the head of EsmaltesHe has served as Vice Chairman of ANFFECC for the last two years.

In his speech at the conclusion of his four-year term in office, outgoing chairman Font de Mora outlined the work done by the association in a period marked by a series of unpredictable and momentous events, including the Covid pandemic, the war in Ukraine, the soaring prices of energy and raw materials, and the recent tensions between Spain and Algeria.

These challenges will now be faced by the newly-elected chairman Fernando Fabra, who stated that he is taking office with a sense of responsibility and confidence in the ability of the association’s member companies to overcome difficulties through a focus on innovation and R&D.

The other board members were also elected during the meeting, including Ángel Navarro (Coloronda) as vice chairman, Joaquín Font de Mora as treasurer and Gonzalo Trilles (Colorobbia).
