Ferretti Industrial Tools triples production capacity
Founded just two years ago, Ferretti Industrial Tools has graduated from a start-up to a fully-fledged producer of diamond tools for ceramic surface finishing operations serving companies based in the Sassuolo ceramic cluster.
After more than a year of research and development, the company launched its products onto the market in May 2017 to resounding success, a result that has already led to the need for expansion.
With this in mind, thirty-year-old entrepreneur Andrea Ferretti recently moved the business to the new 3,000-square-metre factory in Maranello with a view to tripling production capacity to 4,000 pieces/shift of fickert blocks for polishing, grinding wheels and chamfers. The workforce will also be doubled to around thirty employees. “Our extremely high-quality products are tailored to the needs of individual ceramic companies,” explains Ferretti. “We source the diamond powder from the world’s very best suppliers and control every stage in the process.”
The next steps in the investments programme will be the adoption of process automations in the factory and sales internationalisation, adds Andrea Ferretti: “By 2019 we will open a factory in Brazil and then another in India, markets where tile production is growing rapidly and where we can generate significant sales.”
Ferretti Industrial Tools will be taking part in Tecnargilla for the first time, exploiting the opportunity to establish new contacts and to present its product range to a large potential clientele.
