The fifth edition of the Tecnargilla Design Award is under way

Registration has opened for the fifth edition of the Tecnargilla Design Award (TDA), the competition devised by Tecnargilla to reward the latest technological innovations, materials and finishes for surfaces applicable to ceramic tile production.

This year, participants must tackle the theme of "The three dimensions", showcasing their creativity in innovative, original projects based on the three-dimensional nature of materials, one of the most referenced future trends in ceramics.  A concept that strives for increasingly sophisticated design levels in symbiosis with the use of advanced technologies, colours, decorations and finishes that confirm, once again, the central role of ceramic industry suppliers in creating added value.

Exhibitors (paint factories, design studios and technology suppliers) have until 20 July 2018 to apply to register for the display that will be set up in the central hall of the exhibition district in Rimini during Tecnargilla, from 24 to 28 September this year. The exhibited projects, original creations capable of transmitting new expressive languages, will act as a stimulus for the global ceramic market.

Selecting the winner will be technical and creative directors of ceramic companies, ceramic tile retailers, designers and journalists who will take into account the degree of innovation and research, the originality, technical/aesthetic skill and reproducibility on an industrial scale.
