FM designated "School-Friendly Business"

Four companies based in the province of Reggio Emilia, including F.M. of Correggio, have been inscribed on the national register of “Imprese Amiche della Scuola” (“School-Friendly Businesses”) of the Italian Employers’ Federation Confindustria, an exclusive list consisting of just 32 companies nationwide.

The listing recognises the efforts of businesses in training human capital and of entrepreneurs who help smooth the transition between school and work by organising a wide range of training activities for young people, including vocational training and collaboration between universities and technical schools.

FM was one of the first Italian SMEs to organise a research doctorate course entirely in-house. The R&D department has been reorganised following the introduction of the course, leading to the creation of FMLab, an industrial research laboratory that provides numerous services including the testing of plastic materials to determine their mechanical, thermal and tribological properties.

FMLab aims to put research into practice through continuous applications and product tests with a view to achieving real, readily applicable results.
