Future Lab: Industry 4.0 at Tecna

Tecna 2022 will host a thematic route devoted to innovation.

Tecna 2022 continues to grow and expand its range of exhibits. The world’s most important event for surface technologies and supplies will feature three new thematic routes this year:

• Future Lab
• Decortech
• Finishing.

Future Lab in particular will focus on the world of Industry 4.0 and will include an exhibition area and a laboratory of ideas in Hall D5. The aim is to bring together the latest innovations and trends in the field of Industry 4.0 and continue the process of innovation undertaken by the manufacturing industry.

This special section will explore the evolution of industry through the themes of IoT (Internet of Things), Edge computing, Cloud, AI, Industrial software, Robots & Cobots, Motion Control, Additive Manufacturing, Industrial Networking, Cyber Security, Circular Industry & ESG and Servitization.

Future Lab will consist of three core areas:

• the Innovation Area
• the Future Arena the St
• art-Up Area

The Innovation Area and Start-Up Area will be devoted to emerging Italian tech companies whose applications bring added value to the sector. The aim is to enable start-ups and large companies to meet and begin a process of collaboration.

The Future Arena will host technical workshops on Industry 4.0 topics, institutional conferences and events organised by the exhibiting companies.

The partner in this process of innovation is BI-REX, one of the 8 national Competence Centres set up by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development as part of the government’s Industry 4.0 plan.

The aim of the partnership is to create a meeting point within the Future Lab to discuss issues relating to digital transformation and technological innovation, with a specific focus on the theme of Big Data.

This new thematic route further expands Tecna’s range of offerings, enabling the show to provide practical and effective solutions for all ceramic industry professionals.
