Galassia embraces ecology
Ceramica Galassia (Corchiano, Viterbo), an Italian company that has been operating in the bathroom sector since 1980 with a wide-ranging ecological vision of its production system, recently installed a photovoltaic system at its factory extending over 4.500 sq.m and capable of producing 720000 KWh anno.
This is just the latest in a series of environmental initiatives adopted by the company. These include the use of raw materials that are traceable to their source, an eco-friendly production system that meets all European legislation, internal and external personnel training, and collections that combine aesthetics, functionality and water saving (WCs have a dual 3/6 litre flush). In recognition of its commitment and results, Galassia has received TEE Energy Efficiency Certificates (the so-called White Certificates) envisaged by ministerial decree of 20/07/2004 and issued by AEEG to companies that implement projects for energy saving.
