Garoll flies from Munich to Brescia

06/10/03 - One of the most original initiatives at the recent Ceramitec in Munich was organised by Garoll, a leading supplier of sanitaryware plant which, like many other exhibitors, decided not to take its machinery to the exhibition.
Instead, the Brescia-based company devised a different formula for capturing the attention of new and existing customers. The novel initiative, called "Fly with us", allowed guests to view new Garoll technology in full-scale operation in the factory.
Customers found an airbus waiting for them at Munich airport to carry them to Montichiari (near Brescia). They were then accompanied on a tour of the company's laboratory, where a fully-operating casting plant for attached rims and a robotised glazing line were set up specially for the occasion.
This enabled customers to get a close look at the quality of the pieces manufactured and to view technical details which would have been impossible to see elsewhere.
Customers were thrilled by the clear view of the Alps during the flight and were impressed by the warm welcome and helpfulness of staff. The visit was rounded off by an excellent lunch.
During the three days in which the initiative was held, a total of 24 people made use of the flight, while others arranged their own transport to the factory. Customers visiting the Garoll factory included representatives of major world groups such as Kohler, Vitra Eczacibasi, Corona SA Group, Duravit and Jacob Delafon.
