Golsar makes new investments
Golsar, one of Iran's largest sanitaryware manufacturers, recently started up a new ALS150 high-pressure casting plant supplied by Sacmi.
The new machine can produce twelve different models of wall-hung washbasins, the type currently most in demand in the high-end Iranian and export markets. Golsar appreciated the advantages of high-pressure casting with resin moulds, especially the high precision of piece manufacturing and the outstanding surface quality, which eliminates the need for subsequent operator intervention.
The new line is the latest in a series of investments made by the Iranian company during its longstanding industrial partnership with Sacmi. The facility already uses a tunnel kiln and two shuttle kilns from Riedhammer and a Gaiotto glazing robot.
Golsar has an output capacity of over 1.3 million pieces a year and exports its products to the Middle East, Western and Eastern Europe and Africa.
