Granito Forte installs seventh complete Sacmi line
In June this year, one of Italy's biggest manufacturing complexes, the Granito Forte ceramics company in Fresagrandinaria (Chieti, Italy), completed the purchase of a seventh complete line for the manufacture of ceramic floor and wall tiles entirely built by Sacmi.
The first line was supplied in 1995. This latest production line for traditional sizes (from 15x15 cm to 60x60 cm) is currently being installed and is expected to come on stream in the first half of 2016.
This new line includes a continuous mill, two new PH 6500 presses suitable for the production of both standard and medium to large size tiles, a 25 metre horizontal dryer and a 117 metre roller kiln equipped with all the latest heat recovery and energy saving features as well as the kiln loading and unloading systems.
Sacmi also supplied the sorting line and storage system, with automated high-efficiency stackers and palletisers.
This latest investment, which the management of Granito Forte considers essential to maintain and increase its market share, brings the total number of Sacmi machines installed at the Fresagrandinaria plant to no less than 14 presses, 7 dryers, 7 kilns, 7 sorting lines, 3 spray dryers and 3 continuous mills.
The agreement between the two companies was reached at the highest levels, with the direct involvement of the technical manager of Granito Forte, Fiorenzo Marrone, and of the financial and administration manager, Gegi Lugari.
