Grespania expands its laboratory installations in Castellon

Grespania expands its laboratory installations in Castellon13 november 2002 - Grespania has recently expanded and modernised its laboratory installations in Castellon. This action falls within Grespania's periodic technological renovation programme, which aims to maintain the company production standard. The growth experienced by the company has led to raising the level of the Castellon aboratory, in terms of technical and human means, to that of the Nules complex. The work carried out has resulted in an enlargement of the laboratory's dimensions and a renovation of its equipment, all of which have converted the Castellon site into a cutting-edge technological centre capable of facilitating improvements in raw material and finished product quality control.
Two of the new pieces of equipment to have been incorporated are the Dilamometro, which measures the dilation coefficient of white and porcelanico paste, and the Autoclave, responsible for measuring the cutting of the ceramic surfaces. Although the Nules laboratory was already equipped with these control systems, the recent installations in the Castellon site will enable the company to achieve a greater celerity in control test processes.
Furthermore, the manufacture of polished porcelanics has led the company to acquire a Brillometro, a high precision instrument that is used for controlling the perfection and shine of the polished product. This equipment is capable of detecting errors that escape the human eye.
