Hob Certec celebrates 30 years of leadership in roller innovation
In 2025, the Czech company will proudly celebrate 30 years of business that have taken it to the forefront of the industry in Europe.
Hob Certec, based in Horni Briza, Czech Republic, is a renowned manufacturer of refractory rollers that will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2025.
Founded in 1995, the company has pursued consistent growth in both size and turnover, achieving particularly impressive results over the past decade. This success is attributable to significant investments in new machinery, research and development, and the introduction of next-generation kiln rollers that guarantee the highest levels of performance of ceramic kilns. Since 2023, Hob Certec has been Europe’s largest producer of refractory rollers, all of which are manufactured entirely at its facility in Horni Briza near Pilsen, an area long associated with ceramic and porcelain production and kaolin extraction.
Hob Certec’s success is built on its unwavering commitment to innovation, supported by a unique production facility. This is paired with a strong focus on quality, safety, and environmental responsibility, as demonstrated by the company’s ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications. A strong presence in international markets is another of Hob Certec’s distinctive features. This was further highlighted in 2023 with the opening of a new distribution centre in Delaware, USA, to better serve its American customers.
The company provides a comprehensive range of ceramic rollers complemented by expert technical support. These include standard rollers, super-technical rollers, USP (unique selling proposition) products and rollers with highly specific technical parameters. Among these are Hyperroll Dense, which features zero porosity and the highest modulus of elasticity achieved to date (200 GPa), and Hyperroll XT, tailored for the production of tiles and heavy slabs. The range also includes specialised rollers for the fast-cooling zone, such as Superringroll, alongside the RCZ, GR and RCX series. Additionally, the company offers Correctorroll, a custom-engineered solution for trajectory correction in the event of irregular tile transport.
Looking ahead, Hob Certec remains committed to further enhancing its products to meet the evolving demands of the ceramic market, which is expected to recover as early as 2025. The company’s next trade fair appearance will be at Cevisama 2025 in February.
