ICF & Welko S.p.A. created through merger

16/04/07 - A major business plan has resulted in the merger on 31 March of two of the most important Italian companies operating in the ceramic machinery sector: ICF Industrie Cibec SpA of Maranello (Modena) and Welko Srl of Spino d’Adda (Cremona).

Although already part of the same industrial group, the two companies had previously operated autonomously with complementary products and different organisations. Welko is renowned worldwide for the supply of complete plants, presses and kilns, while ICF Industrie Cibec has established a leading international position for its high degree of specialisation in the supply of ceramic body preparation plants.

The merger to create the new company ICF & Welko S.p.A. has the goal of assuring greater competitiveness in an increasingly tough global market.

The fusion of the two companies will make it possible to optimise production volumes and research, to create or more effectively exploit synergies and potential within the group, and to offer quicker and more effective customer service based on experience, technological know-how and presence and technical support in international markets.

ICF & Welko S.p.A. will have its registered offices and facilities in Maranello at the headquarters of ICF Industrie Cibec, where Welko’s sales and design and development facilities are now located. Besides the factory in Maranello, the new company will also use the factory in Spino d’Adda which will continue to produce presses and kilns, as well as all the foreign facilities owned by or previously available to the two companies.
