IEG and ACIMAC renew their collaboration through to 2030
Italian Exhibition Group and the Italian Ceramic Machinery Manufacturers’ Association will continue to collaborate on the 2026, 2028 and 2030 editions of Tecna.
IEG - Italian Exhibition Group and ACIMAC (Italian Ceramic Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers’ Association) have agreed to continue to collaborate on Tecna, the international exhibition of technologies and supplies for surfaces, through to 2030. Building on the show’s more than 40-year history as the premier event for process innovation, equipment, aesthetics and design in the ceramic and brick industries, it is now set to broaden its horizons. Under the terms of the new agreement, the Tecna brand’s two co-owners will maintain the same governance structure for the next three editions (2026, 2028 and 2030, all of which will be held in the Rimini Expo Centre) with the aim of promoting further growth of the brand.
“We immediately agreed on the conditions for renewing our partnership for another six years,” said Corrado Peraboni, CEO of IEG – Italian Exhibition Group. “Both parties have a strong belief in the show and its growth prospects. For IEG, Tecna is a strategic asset within our Green & Technology division. With the new formula launched in 2022 and the change of name from Tecnargilla to Tecna, we laid out the roadmap for the future. Our goal is now to strengthen the show’s leadership position in the sector despite the increasingly competitive landscape.”
“The Rimini exhibition has always served as a global showcase for the most innovative solutions from the Sassuolo ceramic cluster, a successful formula that ACIMAC and IEG have renewed constantly with each edition of the show,” said ACIMAC’s Chairman Paolo Lamberti. “We intend to continue this work, making Tecna increasingly innovation-oriented and international in scope as we look to the future. We are eager to take on new challenges and are anticipating more exciting years of growth ahead. But for now, our focus is on the upcoming 2024 edition.”
Tecna 2024 is set to open its doors on 24 September. The layout of the show is nearly complete, with more than 90% of the total space having been booked for months. Exhibitors include leading industry brands covering every product category and originating both from Italy and from other major technology-producing countries worldwide. The event’s strong international focus is further underscored by the fact that 40% of exhibitors are from abroad, while dozens of buyer delegations selected in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency ITA are expected to attend.
The exhibition will feature three thematic sections:
- The Innovation District, devoted to the latest innovations and ideas in Industry 4.0, with a focus on digitalisation, green solutions, sustainability and logistics. The Innovation District will also feature the Start-Up area, which proved a big success in 2022.
- Finishing, a section that will maintain its focus on companies specialising in finishing and treatment processes that enhance the aesthetic and functional qualities of surfaces, thereby augmenting the benefits of decoration.
- Decortech, a special area within Tecna that will host presentations by leading companies involved in industrial processes for digital decoration and finishing, as well as those focused on raw materials, colours and design. Decortech will explore the main trends in the industry of latest-generation surfaces and their aesthetic customisation.
A packed programme of events is currently being organised for the four days of the show. Tecna 2024 will be held from Tuesday 24 to Friday 27 September in the Rimini Expo Centre.
