Interceramic grows and diversifies

Interceramic, one of the largest ceramic tile manufacturer both in Mexico and in the world with an output in excess of 31 million sq.m/year, completed two important industrial operations at the end of 2007. In October it took over all the activities of the US firm IMC, a distributor of natural stone from more than 40 countries worldwide.

IMC has been operating for more than 20 years in southwest USA with an especially strong presence at Dallas and Fort Worth in Texas and Phoenix in Arizona. This operation brings Interceramic 20,000 square metres of new industrial installations and an additional turnover of more than USD 30 million.

In December, Interceramic started up its sixth and largest Mexican ceramic tile factory in the city of Chihuahua with an installed capacity of 9 million sq.m/year.
