Italian ceramic technology industry ready for Coverings 2023
The Italian Pavilion will host 10 companies as part of a collective organised by Acimac.
The countdown has begun to Coverings 2023, North America’s most important exhibition of ceramic tile and other covering materials due to be held from 18 to 21 April in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Like every year, the Italian ceramic machinery manufacturers’ association Acimac will be taking part with a collective organised in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency ITA.
The Italian Pavilion will host 10 companies: BMR, CAMI Depurazioni, Certech, Cosmac, Diatex, Essepienne, Metco, Sacmi, Surfaces Group and System Ceramics. The show is a unique opportunity for the Italian ceramic machinery producers to present their high-quality Italian-made technology to the American continent. Last year’s event saw the participation of 800 exhibitors, including 69% non-US companies, and 18,000 visitors. These figures reflect the importance of Coverings as a gateway to the US market and an event where Italian companies can enhance their visibility and develop further export opportunities.
In 2022, tile consumption in the US amounted to 285.4 million sqm, down slightly from the previous year. After reaching the highest level in 15 years in 2021, imports fell slightly last year to 202.7 million sqm (-2.3%).
Following Revestir and Indian Ceramics Asia, Coverings will provide yet another opportunity for the international promotion of Tecna, the international surface technology show scheduled to take place at the Rimini Exhibition Centre in September 2024.
