Italian technology at Revestir 2014

The promotional campaign of ACIMAC, the Italian Ceramic Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers' Association, having terminated the Indian trip, will stop in Brazil at the Revestir trade fair, scheduled from 11 to 14 March at the Transamérica Expo Center in São Paulo.

ACIMAC will be present in the fair with 14 companies: Ancora, BMR, Cielle, CMF, ICF - Welko, Keran, LB Officine Meccaniche, Poppi, Sacmi - Intesa, Siti B&T Group, System, Surfaces, TCK and Tecnoferrari. Over 420 square metres will be occupied by the Italian companies to present to South American customers the latest Italian technological innovations: the Italian exhibition area has grown significantly, over 40% more than in the 2013 Edition.

Revestir is the most important trade fair in South America for the home construction and finishes sector. The 2014 Edition will welcome 250 exhibitors in a total area of 40,000 square metres. Approx. 50,000 visitors are expected. Within the exhibition, ACIMAC is among the promoters - together with the ICE Agency - of the Tecnargilla do Brazil forum, the annual updating conference for Brazilian ceramic industry technicians.

Brazil is the second player worldwide in the ceramic tiles industry, with a production of 866 million sqm (figure relating to 2012, an increase of 2.6% over the previous year).

With regard to exports of Italian ceramic machinery, South America is the sixth target market, with a 2012 turnover of 147.9 million euros (11.5% of the total).
