LB celebrates 40th anniversary with Open House event

Guests at the open house organised at LB's headquarters in Fiorano from 19 to 29 September will have the chance to explore an exhibition retracing the company's 40 years of history and success through to Divario, the latest system that embodies all of LB's experience in the construction of plant and machinery for press feeding.

The event celebrates a journey that began when the company was founded in Sassuolo back in 1973 by Ivanno Ligabue and Ermes Bigi and culminated in the generational shift that took place a year ago when the reins of company management were handed over to Emilio Benedetti and Matteo Bigi.

To celebrate the occasion, "We decided to present not just a machine but also some projects that are currently in progress, a few ideas for products that can be created using the various effects that are now available," explained Emilio Benedetti. "In developing Divario we started out from the requests received from our customers, but went further than this in an attempt to anticipate the future needs of the market."

Divario is a new concept of feeder that combines higher aesthetic potential with a significant reduction in management and maintenance costs. The innovative powder batching system can be used to achieve higher definition aesthetics and a greater production capacity thanks to the possibility of loading the press mould from two simultaneously operating belts. This unique method of handling powders can give rise to a wide range of aesthetic effects and products.

"As for technical porcelain, we have observed a need amongst leading international producer companies to return to products with high aesthetic value that are not easily reproducible, thus enabling them to set themselves apart from competitors," commented Matteo Bigi.
