LB dry preparation in Oman

Ceramica Al-Anwar (Oman), a manufacturer of single and double fired floor and wall tiles and a wide range of accents sold under the Al-Shams brand name, launched a number of projects during 2011 aimed at increasing its output and further strengthening its role in the Middle East. Among these investments, there is also the entire plant for management and treatment of raw materials through to the pressing department, supplied by LB, which is due to begin production by February 2012 at the Al-Anwar facility in Nizwa. The dry preparation plant comprises a continuous raw materials batching system and a MRV200 vertical roller mill.

The powder leaving the MRV mill is treated by a GRC 700 system to bring the material to the moisture level required for the pressing stage. The new presses is fed by the innovative Dry-Feed 175 feeding and control systems unveiled by LB at Tecnargilla 2010, which are able to ensure perfect powder loading at the press even in the production of large sizes.
