LB Group releases its Sustainability Report

LB’s new report reflects a corporate culture that has always been aligned with international standards of excellence in terms of environmental responsibility and human well-being.

The LB Group of Fiorano Modenese has released its third Sustainability Report, providing a transparent overview of its progress, efforts and results in improving its ESG performance in 2023.

In terms of the environment, the LB Group stands out not only for its technology aimed at maximising resource efficiency and promoting a circular economy, but also for its reductions in energy consumption and emissions. These results were made possible thanks to improved energy efficiency and the installation of photovoltaic systems at the Fiorano and Sassuolo facilities, which generated approximately 613 GJ of electricity in 2023. Additionally, at the start of 2024, LB secured a contract for energy deriving entirely from renewable sources. The group’s attainment of ISO 14001 certification for environmental management and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety in 2023 further demonstrates its commitment to sustainability.

The LB Group is deeply committed to social responsibility, actively supporting key educational and solidarity initiatives within the local community.

As for its economic results, the group – which consists of LB, Sermat and Barcom – achieved 2% year-on-year revenue growth in 2023, reaching €63.3 million. Almost all of these earnings were distributed to stakeholders. This positive performance was mainly driven by strong sales of equipment for the ready-mixed product sector
