LB: a preview of the future of porcelain
LB staff were delighted to see the large numbers of visitors who converged on the company's stand at Tecnargilla this year, where the Fiorano Modenese based company chose to devote part of its exhibit to an eye-catching gallery of tiles produced by its customers using its technologies.
The displayed products illustrated the development of porcelain tile over the last 30 years and included outstanding examples of the ways in which leading Italian manufacturers have exploited the potential of the Divario press feeder.
Divario was also displayed in a new configuration that makes best use of the patented Easy Color Boost dry powder colouring system, reducing production layout dimensions while increasing intensity and variety of colour. For the first time, Divario was presented as the centrepiece of the innovative Freestile system for porcelain tile production.
Plenty of space was also devoted to large-format porcelain tile produced using Migratech technology (dry grinding with microgranulation), a system that is rapidly gaining in popularity in international markets due to its advantages of operational efficiency, finished product quality and energy saving.
The ICIDO (Virtual Reality Engineering System), created in cooperation with Bologna-based Esi Group, also attracted considerable interest, especially amongst technical personnel, as it allowed visitors to explore LB machinery and plants that were not physically present at the exhibition.
After Tecnargilla, LB is now preparing for the forthcoming exhibitions to be held in 2015: Indian Ceramics (Ahmedabad, India) in January, Revestir (São Paulo, Brazil) and Batimat (Moscow, Russia) in March, and Ceramics China (Guangzhou, China) in June.
