LB technology was chosen by Porcelanosa for its large slabs

LB supplied the spray-dried powder storage and feeding system, as well as dosing and mixing systems and two Easy Color Boost dry coloring lines.

The new Porcelanosa large slab plant, fully operational since January 2023 with an estimated production capacity of 1,300,000 m2/year, stand out as one of the most automated factories in the world for the production of large format porcelain tiles.

For its spray-dried powder storage and feeding system the Spanish group has chosen the technology offered by LB which has provided several supply lines to give maximum flexibility to the forming technologies installed in the plant: this brings considerable advantages in terms of optimizing coloured powder procurement times, avoiding possible contamination.

LB’s supply also included coloured powders dosing and mixing systems, two Easy Color Boost dry coloring lines and a Chipper kit for dosing flakes or precious materials to obtain various types of aesthetic effects, both on the surface and in the ceramic body.
