LB to work with Carthago Ceramic on new industrial projects
Carthago Ceramic, a leading Tunisian building materials manufacturer founded in 1988, has launched a major industrial investment programme that will involve the construction of four new factories for the production of tiles, clay bricks, sanitaryware and building adhesives.
The large-scale expansion project is set against a backdrop of multiple economic, political and social challenges as the country countries its democratic transition. As in the past, Carthago Ceramic will be supported in its investments by top technology partners capable of supplying the most innovative technologies for high-quality products.
In particular, the Italian group LB has been involved in two different projects. For the tile production plant LB will supply Migratech grinding technology, while for the adhesives, mortars and coatings plant it will supply a production line with a fully pneumatic conveyor system.
LB and Carthago have been collaborating since 2011 when the first plant was installed in Agareb, southern Tunisia.
