Malaysian Mosaic Berhad chooses Barbieri & Tarozzi technology
Under the terms of the agreement, the Italian Group will design and construct a complete turnkey plant for the production of 20,000 square metres/day of monoporosa and single-fired tiles and will expand an existing plant which produces 10,000 square metres/day of through-bodied and glazed porcelain tile.
The machinery will be shipped from March onwards and the plants started up in the autumn.
For the complete plant, Barbieri & Tarozzi will install 18 mills for slip production and glaze preparation, one SD 11000 spray dryer, six 2500/1750 and 2000/1750 new-generation presses, two 2850/25.47 three-channel dryers with corresponding loading and unloading machines, two 2850/137.64 single-layer roller kilns and 2850/11.1 pre-kiln single-channel dryers.
The supply contract also includes a storage and handling plant with four Smart Line sorting lines and four M46 palletisers.
For the expansion of the existing plant, the Group will supply two two-channel dryers and two pre-kiln single-layer dryers, two single-channel roller kilns, two complete storage lines and four sorting and palletisation lines.
