Mapei invests in Dubai

26/10/05 - Giorgio Squinzi, sole administrator of Mapei Group (turnover of 1.070 billion euro in 2004, 12% up on the previous year), recently announced that the Group will be opening a new factory in Dubai.
The UAE, Dubai in particular, is the region where the greatest amount of construction work is expected to be carried out over the next ten years.

For this reason Mapei has chosen to invest in a factory which will produce a full range of cementitious-based powder adhesives for ceramic tile and stone installation as well as a line of additives specially formulated for the local climatic conditions which tend to make concrete set immediately if not adequately treated.

Mapei Group currently consists of 40 member companies and 43 factories located in 21 countries in all 5 continents. In the near future the Group plans to open new factories near Moscow in Russia and in Madrid in Spain.
By the end of 2007, it will also open two factories at Peking and Shanghai in China, followed by a third at Guangzhou in the south of the country. Its target is a turnover of 2 billion euro by 2010.
