Mattei supplies air compressors to Rondine Group

Mattei, a company based in Vimodrone (MI) that for more than 90 years has been operating in the sector of high energy efficiency industrial rotary vane air compressors, has supplied its longstanding client Rondine Group with air compressors for its porcelain tile facilities in Rubiera and Vetto. The equipment was supplied through the Reggio Emilia-based service company Commatrè, Mattei’s exclusive area distributor for rotary vane compressors from 1.5 kW up to 250 kW.
Mattei compressors deliver twofold benefits. Their simple construction ensures that the stator never comes into direct contact either with the rotor or the vanes, resulting in a very long average lifetime. The vanes have a rounded surface and slide over an oil film that protects them from wear. The compressors’ configuration without gears between the drive shaft and the rotor and with bushings instead of thrust bearings reduces the number of components and consequently maintenance operations. The compressors offer an excellent return on investment over their entire lifecycle considering the very small number of maintenance operations, the absence of reconditioning and the lower cost of the original spare parts.

Mattei compressors can be easily integrated into existing OEM plants and customised to meet the most complex requirements.
