New Setec technological centre

New Setec technological centreCivita Castellana (VT), 22 October - The new Technological Centre for the ceramic industry owned by Setec (a company providing services and technologies for the ceramic industry) will be officially opened at 6 p.m. this evening. The purpose of the Centre is to provide companies in the ceramic manufacturing area - the most important in Italy for the production of sanitaryware - with a tool to allow them to fully realise their potential.
The Technological Centre will consist of a Research and development centre equipped with a pilot plant for research and experimentation into product and process innovations; a Chemical and physical laboratory for the complete testing of raw materials and semi-finished and finished products, defect and production analysis and verification of compliance of finished products with European standards; a Training centre for basic and specialist training of operators in the sector.
The meeting will be chaired by Luciano Mocci, director of Federlazio Viterbo. The concluding speech will be given by the regional councillor for productive activities of the Lazio Region, Francesco Saponaro, after which there will be a visit to the Technological Centre at 7.15 p.m. The opening ceremony will also be attended by the mayor of Civita Castellana, Domenico Fortuna, the president of the Province of Viterbo, Giulio Marini, the chairman of the local chamber of commerce, Ferindo Palombella, and the chairman of the Agenzia Sviluppo Lazio (Lazio Development Agency), Pierluigi Gemmini.
