Nexion installs new slab glazing line from Cimes
The new glazing line completes the 10,000 sqm/day plant for the production of large slabs that Nexion has started up in its facility in Morbi.
Nexion, one of India’s leading mid- to high-end ceramic tile manufacturers, is continuing to expand its new slab production facility in Morbi (Gujarat).
In particular, it has recently installed a new Cimes brand glazing line complete with airless booths with independent handling and latest-generation software for total control of each individual stage of engobe and glaze application.
A cooling and dehumidifying system has been installed prior to the digital decoration machine to guarantee extremely high-definition decoration and longer printhead life. The scope of supply also included the transport systems between the press and the dryer loading/unloading machines and between the dryer and the glazing line.
The new glazing line completes the 10,000 sqm/day plant for the production of large slabs in sizes of up to 1200x2400 mm and a maximum thickness of 9 mm. The order fits in with Nexion’s policy of choosing technology partners that meet stringent quality standards and deliver highly efficient technologies capable of producing sophisticated design products for the domestic and international markets.
For Cimes, which has been designing, building and installing complete glazing and screen printing systems for ceramic tiles and slabs since 1973, this order further demonstrates the excellence of its Italian-made technology and the quality of its service.
