Official opening of Kerajet's new Almazora facility during Cevisama
Kerajet, headed by chairman José Vicente Tomás Claramonte, is introducing major changes in 2011 with the opening of its new site at Almazora, Spain. The facility was completed a few weeks ago following investments in the region of 6 million euro and will be officially opened on 7 February in the presence of local authorities and the minister for the economy and industrial development. The new 20,000 sq.m site will house offices and a warehouse, the production and testing department fitted out with latest-generation technology with a production capacity in excess of 120 new machines a year, the R&D department for printing and colour technologies, and the Kerajet brand colour production line.
To date a total of 270 Kerajet digital printing machines have been installed worldwide. Of these, 80 were shipped in 2010 (40 in Spain and 40 in the rest of the world), generating a 95% increase in turnover with respect to 2009. Claramonte’s goal is to reach a total of 400 installed machines this year.
The move to the new facility is accompanied by a significant company reorganisation involving further investments in order to keep pace with market demand for technology, production, quality and service, while offering flexible and customised solutions that cater for all aspects of digital technology.
An open house event has been organised during Cevisama to allow customers to visit the new installations. A shuttle service will be running from 8 to 11 February to transport visitors from the exhibition in Valencia to Almazora.
