OTAVI Minerals acquires largest wollastonite mine in China
The mine, managed by European personnel, produces high-purity wollastonite CaSiO3 with a low Fe2O3 content in various powder forms. The products are particularly suitable for use in fast firing glazes and in sanitaryware production. Wollastonite acts as a fluxing agent and improves the strength of green and fired body.
With its offices in China, OTAVI Minerals has now established a base in the most important region for the mining of mineral raw materials. With branches in most European countries, it is a reliable partner for the supply of high-quality products.
The company, which boasts ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications, has its main production site at Neuss, Germany, where products are manufactured in accordance with customers’ requirements through stringent quality controls.
