Panariagroup doubles up with System
After starting up the first porcelain laminate production line in 2009, Panariagroup has continued to invest in innovation with the purchase of a second plant featuring technology from System. The new line will enable the company to double its output and reach an annual production capacity of 2,000,000 sq.m of porcelain laminate in addition to conventional porcelain tile production. The porcelain laminate produced using System technology is marketed under all the Sassuolo-based group’s brands: not just Kerlite from Cotto d’Este but also Zer03 from Panaria, Slimtech from Lea and LS-300 from Fiordo.
“Italian companies have no choice but to invest in innovation and technology if they wish to grow and maintain employment levels and to enter new markets with good growth opportunities,” commented Panariagroup’s chairman Emilio Mussini.
“Rather than just a mark or a designer logo to be applied to our products, “Made in Italy” represents a challenge for the future, an assurance of growth and innovation in the quest for new technologies in the historic Sassuolo tile manufacturing district,” declared System Group chairman Franco Stefani.
With a thickness of just 3 mm and sizes of up to 3 metres by 1 metre, this highly innovative product is ideal as an interior and exterior floor and wall covering and combines ease of use with outstanding technical and aesthetic qualities. The sheet’s low thickness means that it can be installed over existing floor or wall tiling and can adapt perfectly to any installation layout. Its low weight (7 kg per square metre) brings considerable advantages in terms of internal logistics and transport.
