Partnership between Tecnografica Sistemi and Welko

28/08/03 - In recent weeks, Tecnografica Sistemi and Welko Industriale have signed a partnership agreement for the creation of a new advanced research and production centre for latest-generation decoration plant. The centre will be located in Castellarano, in the heart of the Italian ceramic manufacturing area between Modena and Reggio Emilia.

The partnership will involve carrying through projects conceived by Tecnografica Sistemi, a company that develops innovative hi-tech systems for the ceramic industry, including Picasso for through-bodied decoration and Spidernet for mosaic.

Tecnografica Sistemi's technological innovations are the result of a decade of research, and the company has taken out international patents to protect its computerised mechanical systems. Its capacity for innovation will be the perfect complement to the more than fifty years of experience of Welko, a leading group in the design and construction of complete lines and plants for the ceramic industry.

The first objective of the new partnership is to market the pioneering Picasso System, which has paved the way for new "intelligent" industrial machines. These innovative, flexible technological solutions for product development are capable of guaranteeing outstanding technical and aesthetic quality of products, a considerable reduction in costs and greater attention to environmental impact.
