Polcolorit begins construction of new factory

30/06/05 - A simple ceremony at Piechowice in western Poland on 16 May marked the official start-up of work on a new factory for the production of porcelain tile and ceramic bodies.

The Polcolorit Group, owned by the Italian Marconi family, has been operating since 1984 in a factory complex that manufactures a full range of ceramic products including floor and wall tiles, trim pieces and hand decorated pieces.

Following the company’s market success, it will be listed on the Warsaw stock market from the end of 2005.
With a covered surface area of almost four hectares and the most advanced production technology, the Polcolorit Group will reach a daily output of between 11,000 and 18,000 sq.m when the first stage is completed at the end of the year, followed by much larger volumes in the subsequent stages.
