Poppi Clementino registered sales growth in 2019
Following double-digit turnover growth in 2019, the outlook is promising for 2020.
Poppi Clementino Spa, a Reggio Emilia-based company specialising in the development of energy recovery and environmental treatment systems, reported double-digit turnover growth in 2019 to around 10 million euros.
Founded in 1986 by Clementino Poppi and Domenico Gualtieri, the company has taken up the challenge of improving the energy efficiency of ceramic companies and to date has installed more than 120 systems for the world’s leading ceramic groups.
Turnover growth continues to be driven by major investments in highly trained human resources, primarily energy engineers, while opening new branches in key markets and searching for new technical solutions. For example, in the field of raw material preparation, the company has developed and patented a slip heating system to be installed before the spray dryer which allows for savings of 6-7% on the fuel consumption required to evaporate the water contained in the slip. The plant is centred around a compact, high-performance shell-and-tube water-slip heat exchanger that can be easily installed in the spray dryer area.
