In June this year, the well-known Turkish ceramic tile manufacturer Yurtbay Seramik started up a new cogeneration plant which uses two turbines in parallel, a KB5 which has been in operation since 2003 and a recently-commissioned new Taurus 60 supplied by Solar Turbines.
Complete plant engineering, including installation and connection of the new turbine and automatic management of the system, was assigned to Poppi Clementino S.p.A., which also supplied the automatic high-temperature values and electric panels. The Reggio Emilia-based company specialising in heat recovery and energy efficiency solutions also carried out the previous installation.
The new plant was installed rapidly and serves three Sacmi spray dryers.
During 2018, Poppi Clementino invested considerable energy and resources in the expansion of its R&D and Electronics departments. The R&D department develops innovative solutions designed to guarantee the highest levels of performance in terms of energy saving, while the Electronics department provides a 24/7 remote support service for rapid troubleshooting on plants installed anywhere in the world.
