Qutone Ceramics sees continuous growth

Since its inception in 2008, the Indian company Qutone Ceramics based in Ahmedabad (Gujarat) has seen continuous growth through product innovation and the use of high-performance technologies, and it is recognized as one of the most innovative and trendsetting brands.

2016 was a watershed year for the company with the start-up of a new and fully-automated factory complete with a Lamgea 44000 mouldless press from System for the production of premium porcelain panels and slabs. The first Asian company to introduce a 1200x2400 mm size with thickness 9 mm, Qutone now produces a wide range of extra-large sizes (80x120 cm, 120x120 cm, 80x160 cm, 80x240 cm and 120x240 cm) as well as digitally-decorated glazed porcelain tiles in conventional sizes (30x60 cm, 60x60 cm, 80x80 cm, 45x90 cm and 60x120 cm),

The management’s farsighted choices have enabled the company to create an extensive network covering over 52 countries worldwide, with a multi-unit production group of 14 million sq.m/year. This capacity is set to increase as early as April 2018 when a new System line capable of producing sizes up to 3200 mm in length will be commissioned.

"Our primary aim is to launch new products at regular intervals and offer our customers a vast and technologically sound product range," said Manoj Agarwal, CMD of Qutone Ceramics. "One of the latest examples is the iMarble line, the closest product to a natural marble."

Qutone’s design  and product upgradation are all conceived at the company’s Italian office located in Sassuolo, which also supports the R&D activities for continuous product innovation.
