Riedhammer joins the Sacmi Group

12/07/04 - The Sacmi Group of Imola has made a new acquisition. Since the end of April 2004, the Group has had a 90% share in Nuremberg-based Riedhammer, in which it purchased a share of 30% in 2003.

This new ownership scenario has generated a business plan that aims to improve Riedhammer’s products and services even further.

Re-organisation - under way for several months now - is giving this German company greater flexibility, dynamism and competitiveness to meet the challenges of the increasingly complex world kiln market.
A key feature of the plan is close collaboration with Sacmi Forni, the Sacmi Group company that designs and constructs kilns for the ceramic industry.
The new Riedhammer Board of Directors has reconfirmed Peter Riedhammer as company chairman.

Riedhammer, with over 8,000 plants installed all over the world, has been producing kilns for the ceramic industry since 1924.
This historic German brand specialises in the firing of sanitaryware and tableware yet also designs kilns for other products, from technical ceramic to carbon (e.g. anodes, cathodes, electrodes).
