Riola adopts Sermat technology for recycling ceramic sludge
The LB Group company has developed a specific plant for drying sludge for reuse in the ceramic production process
Riola, a Sassuolo-based company specialising in the recycling and reuse of production materials, has commissioned Sermat (LB Group) to develop a dedicated plant for drying sludge ready for reuse in the ceramic production process.
The sludge, originating from the ceramic wastewater storage tank and from the wet squaring machine filter presses, is dried and reconverted into powder before being fed back into the tile production cycle.
With this order, LB confirms its commitment to developing more environmentally friendly technologies capable of saving energy and raw materials and to helping its customers adopt sustainable production processes.
